DD110 Neutron Generator

The DD110 is our highest output deuterium based neutron generator (8 x 10⁹ n/s). It is based on the standard DD 109 generator, but has a number of enhancements that allow us to squeeze the absolute maximum neutron yield out of the generator. For example it uses a large rectangular ion beam (2 x 30 mm²) on to an optimally cooled "V" shaped target. Coupled with a larger high voltage power supply, the generator produces neutrons yields almost 10 times greater than the DD109's in generator head that is the same size.

As with all DD fusion reaction generators from Adelphi, the DD-110 is easily serviced and has a long lifetime when compared to sealed neutron generators. The generator is actively vacuum pumped (not sealed), permitting the operator or service technician to open the generator for repairs and component replacement.

This generator is well suited to customers who need the absolute maximum flux of DD neutrons and can be used for activation analysis and the detection of trace element constituents in material samples.
